This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled phy: usb: Toggle the PHY power during init to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: phy-usb-toggle-the-phy-power-during-init.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit cc2bf570b2deb1852288fd18cd739d97d495e579 Author: Justin Chen <justin.chen@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Oct 24 14:35:40 2024 -0700 phy: usb: Toggle the PHY power during init [ Upstream commit 0a92ea87bdd6f77ca4e17fe19649882cf5209edd ] When bringing up the PHY, it might be in a bad state if left powered. One case is we lose the PLL lock if the PLL is gated while the PHY is powered. Toggle the PHY power so we can start from a known state.
