This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix error recovery sequence to the 6.12-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: rdma-bnxt_re-fix-error-recovery-sequence.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.12 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 1d50e02bc105749ff67fb061160b796294bac9bf Author: Kalesh AP <kalesh-anakkur.purayil@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Dec 31 08:20:08 2024 +0530 RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix error recovery sequence [ Upstream commit e6178bf78d0378c2d397a6aafaf4882d0af643fa ] Fixed to return ENXIO from __send_message_basic_sanity() to indicate that device is in error state. In the case of ERR_DEVICE_DETACHED state, the driver should not post the commands to the firmware as it will time out eventually. Removed bnxt_re_modify_qp() call from bnxt_re_dev_stop() as it is a no-op.
