This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled LoongArch: Fix reserving screen info memory for above-4G firmware to the 6.12-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: loongarch-fix-reserving-screen-info-memory-for-above.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.12 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 7e2a735d283fe40eee22482ca3343a52853d4028 Author: Huacai Chen <chenhuacai@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Dec 2 16:42:07 2024 +0800 LoongArch: Fix reserving screen info memory for above-4G firmware [ Upstream commit 55dc2f8f263448f1e6c7ef135d08e640d5a4826e ] Since screen_info.lfb_base is a __u32 type, an above-4G address need an ext_lfb_base to present its higher 32bits. In init_screen_info() we can use __screen_info_lfb_base() to handle this case for reserving screen info memory.
