This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled mfd: intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc: Use IRQ domain for PMIC devices to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mfd-intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc-use-irq-domain-for-pmic-dev.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 1a68581968205387cb0f489c079c6bd218bc1e6e Author: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat Oct 5 22:27:06 2024 +0300 mfd: intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc: Use IRQ domain for PMIC devices [ Upstream commit 0350d783ab888cb1cb48ced36cc28b372723f1a4 ] While design wise the idea of converting the driver to use the hierarchy of the IRQ chips is correct, the implementation has (inherited) flaws. This was unveiled when platform_get_irq() had started WARN() on IRQ 0 that is supposed to be a Linux IRQ number (also known as vIRQ). Rework the driver to respect IRQ domain when creating each MFD device separately, as the domain is not the same for all of them.
