The code is fixing an issue related to a Samsung quirk relevant to Exynos platforms.
The stable tag was added because of this comment - https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-scsi/msg198943.html
It was tested by Google on a Pixel 6 that has an Exynos host controller - https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-scsi/msg199490.html 
However, no one from Samsung acked it.
