This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled clk: samsung: exynos7885: do not define number of clocks in bindings to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: clk-samsung-exynos7885-do-not-define-number-of-clock.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 844bc17d4b57b00df129ce9fbd0e20facd35ea85 Author: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Aug 8 10:27:35 2023 +0200 clk: samsung: exynos7885: do not define number of clocks in bindings [ Upstream commit ef4923c8e0523d83b7cd4918760e03b03b2b08ad ] Number of clocks supported by Linux drivers might vary - sometimes we add new clocks, not exposed previously. Therefore these numbers of clocks should not be in the bindings, as that prevents changing them. Define number of clocks per each clock controller inside the driver directly.
