This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled nvme-pci: qdepth 1 quirk to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: nvme-pci-qdepth-1-quirk.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit d50089700b955168e926460e5e40937269697ba1 Author: Keith Busch <kbusch@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Sep 11 10:39:59 2024 -0700 nvme-pci: qdepth 1 quirk [ Upstream commit 83bdfcbdbe5d901c5fa432decf12e1725a840a56 ] Another device has been reported to be unreliable if we have more than one outstanding command. In this new case, data corruption may occur. Since we have two devices now needing this quirky behavior, make a generic quirk flag. The same Apple quirk is clearly not "temporary", so update the comment while moving it.
