This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled fbdev: efifb: Register sysfs groups through driver core to the 6.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: fbdev-efifb-register-sysfs-groups-through-driver-cor.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 869de8716716b84fdc41777009b8cda6617b6e31 Author: Thomas Weißschuh <linux@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Aug 27 17:25:13 2024 +0200 fbdev: efifb: Register sysfs groups through driver core [ Upstream commit 95cdd538e0e5677efbdf8aade04ec098ab98f457 ] The driver core can register and cleanup sysfs groups already. Make use of that functionality to simplify the error handling and cleanup. Also avoid a UAF race during unregistering where the sysctl attributes were usable after the info struct was freed.
