This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled hwmon: (pmbus) Introduce and use write_byte_data callback to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: hwmon-pmbus-introduce-and-use-write_byte_data-callba.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 17e7c2bc6f1c343bdb8bd98bf59e7181524a2c44 Author: Mårten Lindahl <marten.lindahl@xxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Apr 28 16:40:36 2022 +0200 hwmon: (pmbus) Introduce and use write_byte_data callback [ Upstream commit 5de3e13f7f6b496bd7bd9ff4d2b915b7d3e67cda ] Some of the pmbus core functions uses pmbus_write_byte_data, which does not support driver callbacks for chip specific write operations. This could potentially influence some specific regulator chips that for example need a time delay before each data access. Lets add support for driver callback with _pmbus_write_byte_data.
