This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled usb: typec: ucsi: Fix cable registration to the 6.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: usb-typec-ucsi-fix-cable-registration.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit cbecb9ffec88253caf4d38185fea0aeb96be67d5 Author: Heikki Krogerus <heikki.krogerus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Sep 3 16:09:44 2024 +0300 usb: typec: ucsi: Fix cable registration [ Upstream commit 87eb3cb4ec619299cd5572e1d5eb68aef4074ac2 ] The Cable PD Revision field in GET_CABLE_PROPERTY was introduced in UCSI v2.1, so adding check for that. The cable properties are also not used anywhere after the cable is registered, so removing the cable_prop member from struct ucsi_connector while at it.
