This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled scsi: spi: Fix sshdr use to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: scsi-spi-fix-sshdr-use.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 0a38273f0c8977a5b2a287117658789eb57c746e Author: Mike Christie <michael.christie@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Oct 4 16:00:07 2023 -0500 scsi: spi: Fix sshdr use [ Upstream commit 0b149cee836aa53989ea089af1cb9d90d7c6ac9e ] If scsi_execute_cmd returns < 0, it doesn't initialize the sshdr, so we shouldn't access the sshdr. If it returns 0, then the cmd executed successfully, so there is no need to check the sshdr. This has us access the sshdr when we get a return value > 0.
