This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled media: pci: ivtv: Add check for DMA map result to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: media-pci-ivtv-add-check-for-dma-map-result.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 6a8f956e0f173cf77103556db0ad05e5becc2a6a Author: Mikhail Kobuk <m.kobuk@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Mar 28 02:32:23 2024 +0300 media: pci: ivtv: Add check for DMA map result [ Upstream commit 629913d6d79508b166c66e07e4857e20233d85a9 ] In case DMA fails, 'dma->SG_length' is 0. This value is later used to access 'dma->SGarray[dma->SG_length - 1]', which will cause out of bounds access. Add check to return early on invalid value. Adjust warnings accordingly. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
