This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled LoongArch: Check TIF_LOAD_WATCH to enable user space watchpoint to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: loongarch-check-tif_load_watch-to-enable-user-space-.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 82d36d28040523e62c06743a268822d2fa5c969a Author: Tiezhu Yang <yangtiezhu@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat Jul 20 22:41:07 2024 +0800 LoongArch: Check TIF_LOAD_WATCH to enable user space watchpoint [ Upstream commit 3892b11eac5aaaeefbf717f1953288b77759d9e2 ] Currently, there are some places to set CSR.PRMD.PWE, the first one is in hw_breakpoint_thread_switch() to enable user space singlestep via checking TIF_SINGLESTEP, the second one is in hw_breakpoint_control() to enable user space watchpoint. For the latter case, it should also check TIF_LOAD_WATCH to make the logic correct and clear.
