This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled power: supply: ab8500: Fix error handling when calling iio_read_channel_processed() to the 6.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: power-supply-ab8500-fix-error-handling-when-calling-.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit e629473124125a6afc34b0fca95f9ae016dd8e33 Author: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat Jun 22 09:04:24 2024 +0200 power: supply: ab8500: Fix error handling when calling iio_read_channel_processed() [ Upstream commit 3288757087cbb93b91019ba6b7de53a1908c9d48 ] The ab8500_charger_get_[ac|vbus]_[current|voltage]() functions should return an error code on error. Up to now, an un-initialized value is returned. This makes the error handling of the callers un-reliable. Return the error code instead, to fix the issue.
