This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled selftest/timerns: fix clang build failures for abs() calls to the 6.9-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: selftest-timerns-fix-clang-build-failures-for-abs-ca.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.9 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 13dba7e4174b6441e42b95b61c3f831627830802 Author: John Hubbard <jhubbard@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Jul 3 19:52:47 2024 -0700 selftest/timerns: fix clang build failures for abs() calls [ Upstream commit f76f9bc616b7320df6789241ca7d26cedcf03cf3 ] When building with clang, via: make LLVM=1 -C tools/testing/selftests ...clang warns about mismatches between the expected and required integer length being supplied to abs(3). Fix this by using the correct variant of abs(3): labs(3) or llabs(3), in these cases.
