This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    ipv6: prevent NULL dereference in ip6_output()

to the 6.8-stable tree which can be found at:

The filename of the patch is:
     ipv6-prevent-null-dereference-in-ip6_output.patch
and it can be found in the queue-6.8 subdirectory.

    According to syzbot, there is a chance that ip6_dst_idev()
    returns NULL in ip6_output(). Most places in IPv6 stack
    deal with a NULL idev just fine, but not here.
