This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled mtd: rawnand: qcom: Fix broken OP_RESET_DEVICE command in qcom_misc_cmd_type_exec() to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mtd-rawnand-qcom-fix-broken-op_reset_device-command-in-qcom_misc_cmd_type_exec.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From b61bb5bc2c1cd00bb53db42f705735db6e8700f0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christian Marangi <ansuelsmth@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 4 Apr 2024 10:31:55 +0200 Subject: mtd: rawnand: qcom: Fix broken OP_RESET_DEVICE command in qcom_misc_cmd_type_exec() From: Christian Marangi <ansuelsmth@xxxxxxxxx> commit b61bb5bc2c1cd00bb53db42f705735db6e8700f0 upstream. While migrating to exec_ops in commit a82990c8a409 ("mtd: rawnand: qcom: Add read/read_start ops in exec_op path"), OP_RESET_DEVICE command handling got broken unintentionally. Right now for the OP_RESET_DEVICE command, qcom_misc_cmd_type_exec() will simply return 0 without handling it. Even, if that gets fixed, an unnecessary FLASH_STATUS read descriptor command is being added in the middle and that seems to be causing the command to fail on IPQ806x devices. So let's fix the above two issues to make OP_RESET_DEVICE command working again.
