This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled net: bcmasp: fix memory leak when bringing down interface to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: net-bcmasp-fix-memory-leak-when-bringing-down-interf.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 11d52c780b49a536c9841d8b17cede1b1904396e Author: Justin Chen <justin.chen@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Apr 18 11:05:41 2024 -0700 net: bcmasp: fix memory leak when bringing down interface [ Upstream commit 9f898fc2c31fbf0ac5ecd289f528a716464cb005 ] When bringing down the TX rings we flush the rings but forget to reclaimed the flushed packets. This leads to a memory leak since we do not free the dma mapped buffers. This also leads to tx control block corruption when bringing down the interface for power management.
