This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled drm: nv04: Fix out of bounds access to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: drm-nv04-fix-out-of-bounds-access.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit efa122020ff335b1f2bdcbdb97c566070d114e05 Author: Mikhail Kobuk <m.kobuk@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Apr 11 14:08:52 2024 +0300 drm: nv04: Fix out of bounds access [ Upstream commit cf92bb778eda7830e79452c6917efa8474a30c1e ] When Output Resource (dcb->or) value is assigned in fabricate_dcb_output(), there may be out of bounds access to dac_users array in case dcb->or is zero because ffs(dcb->or) is used as index there. The 'or' argument of fabricate_dcb_output() must be interpreted as a number of bit to set, not value. Utilize macros from 'enum nouveau_or' in calls instead of hardcoding. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
