This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled thermal/of: Assume polling-delay(-passive) 0 when absent to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: thermal-of-assume-polling-delay-passive-0-when-absen.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 31b4627fa5329e84f4a05b8c1312a870fe2764ac Author: Konrad Dybcio <konrad.dybcio@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Jan 25 13:11:16 2024 +0100 thermal/of: Assume polling-delay(-passive) 0 when absent [ Upstream commit 488164006a281986d95abbc4b26e340c19c4c85b ] Currently, thermal zones associated with providers that have interrupts for signaling hot/critical trips are required to set a polling-delay of 0 to indicate no polling. This feels a bit backwards. Change the code such that "no polling delay" also means "no polling".
