This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: include link ID when releasing frames to the 6.8-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: wifi-iwlwifi-mvm-include-link-id-when-releasing-fram.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.8 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 396ee86c3c23612e8ee97379b060a368a462129e Author: Benjamin Berg <benjamin.berg@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Mar 20 23:26:22 2024 +0200 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: include link ID when releasing frames [ Upstream commit e78d7877308989ef91b64a3c746ae31324c07caa ] When releasing frames from the reorder buffer, the link ID was not included in the RX status information. This subsequently led mac80211 to drop the frame. Change it so that the link information is set immediately when possible so that it doesn't not need to be filled in anymore when submitting the frame to mac80211.
