This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled udp: fix incorrect parameter validation in the udp_lib_getsockopt() function to the 5.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: udp-fix-incorrect-parameter-validation-in-the-udp_li.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 070db7dc37043cb02652e141674f44478b7ceecd Author: Gavrilov Ilia <Ilia.Gavrilov@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Mar 7 14:23:50 2024 +0000 udp: fix incorrect parameter validation in the udp_lib_getsockopt() function [ Upstream commit 4bb3ba7b74fceec6f558745b25a43c6521cf5506 ] The 'len' variable can't be negative when assigned the result of 'min_t' because all 'min_t' parameters are cast to unsigned int, and then the minimum one is chosen. To fix the logic, check 'len' as read from 'optlen', where the types of relevant variables are (signed) int.
