This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled clk: hisilicon: hi3559a: Fix an erroneous devm_kfree() to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: clk-hisilicon-hi3559a-fix-an-erroneous-devm_kfree.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 1636142f6c99009a9f4bd89faa4bba6980f37cac Author: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun Jan 21 16:16:24 2024 +0100 clk: hisilicon: hi3559a: Fix an erroneous devm_kfree() [ Upstream commit 64c6a38136b74a2f18c42199830975edd9fbc379 ] 'p_clk' is an array allocated just before the for loop for all clk that need to be registered. It is incremented at each loop iteration. If a clk_register() call fails, 'p_clk' may point to something different from what should be freed. The best we can do, is to avoid this wrong release of memory.
