This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled net/x25: fix incorrect parameter validation in the x25_getsockopt() function to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: net-x25-fix-incorrect-parameter-validation-in-the-x2.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 243ebcaae4ee1d075b0e0c8601fb0c235d0082a8 Author: Gavrilov Ilia <Ilia.Gavrilov@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Mar 7 14:23:50 2024 +0000 net/x25: fix incorrect parameter validation in the x25_getsockopt() function [ Upstream commit d6eb8de2015f0c24822e47356f839167ebde2945 ] The 'len' variable can't be negative when assigned the result of 'min_t' because all 'min_t' parameters are cast to unsigned int, and then the minimum one is chosen. To fix the logic, check 'len' as read from 'optlen', where the types of relevant variables are (signed) int.
