This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled clk: zynq: Prevent null pointer dereference caused by kmalloc failure to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: clk-zynq-prevent-null-pointer-dereference-caused-by-.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit bb3b5be4ca6dbcb278c3c389a2fa933ba854d1f4 Author: Duoming Zhou <duoming@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Mar 1 16:44:37 2024 +0800 clk: zynq: Prevent null pointer dereference caused by kmalloc failure [ Upstream commit 7938e9ce39d6779d2f85d822cc930f73420e54a6 ] The kmalloc() in zynq_clk_setup() will return null if the physical memory has run out. As a result, if we use snprintf() to write data to the null address, the null pointer dereference bug will happen. This patch uses a stack variable to replace the kmalloc().
