This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled io_uring/unix: drop usage of io_uring socket to the 5.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: io_uring-unix-drop-usage-of-io_uring-socket.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 0e5ff5687c220803dab485b3f83c78564665f2f2 Author: Jens Axboe <axboe@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Mar 13 18:33:48 2024 -0600 io_uring/unix: drop usage of io_uring socket Commit a4104821ad651d8a0b374f0b2474c345bbb42f82 upstream. Since we no longer allow sending io_uring fds over SCM_RIGHTS, move to using io_is_uring_fops() to detect whether this is a io_uring fd or not. With that done, kill off io_uring_get_socket() as nobody calls it anymore. This is in preparation to yanking out the rest of the core related to unix gc with io_uring.
