This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled nvmet-fc: abort command when there is no binding to the 5.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: nvmet-fc-abort-command-when-there-is-no-binding.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 55e86da8c7c649ad6395e678196d5d3e0b34418c Author: Daniel Wagner <dwagner@xxxxxxx> Date: Wed Jan 31 09:51:09 2024 +0100 nvmet-fc: abort command when there is no binding [ Upstream commit 3146345c2e9c2f661527054e402b0cfad80105a4 ] When the target port has not active port binding, there is no point in trying to process the command as it has to fail anyway. Instead adding checks to all commands abort the command early.
