This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916: Enable blsp_dma by default to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: arm64-dts-qcom-msm8916-enable-blsp_dma-by-default.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 7793e4a453f86952299143e13dc1279e627d7d48 Author: Stephan Gerhold <stephan@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat Jan 7 12:09:57 2023 +0100 arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916: Enable blsp_dma by default [ Upstream commit 0154d3594af3c198532ac7b4ab70f50fb5207a15 ] Adding the "dmas" to the I2C controllers prevents probing them if blsp_dma is disabled (infinite probe deferral). Avoid this by enabling blsp_dma by default - it's an integral part of the SoC that is almost always used (even if just for UART).
