This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled net/mlx5e: Fix inconsistent hairpin RQT sizes to the 6.7-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: net-mlx5e-fix-inconsistent-hairpin-rqt-sizes.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.7 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 23db336dc559a45fa3dfa9a231d8d09a0fb1c25a Author: Tariq Toukan <tariqt@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun Nov 5 17:09:46 2023 +0200 net/mlx5e: Fix inconsistent hairpin RQT sizes [ Upstream commit c20767fd45e82d64352db82d4fc8d281a43e4783 ] The processing of traffic in hairpin queues occurs in HW/FW and does not involve the cpus, hence the upper bound on max num channels does not apply to them. Using this bound for the hairpin RQT max_table_size is wrong. It could be too small, and cause the error below [1]. As the RQT size provided on init does not get modified later, use the same value for both actual and max table sizes.
