This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled crypto: rsa - add a check for allocation failure to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: crypto-rsa-add-a-check-for-allocation-failure.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit a8f41f23f529fbbd658fb7d5e9c5fa375d0164b6 Author: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Oct 30 12:02:59 2023 +0300 crypto: rsa - add a check for allocation failure [ Upstream commit d872ca165cb67112f2841ef9c37d51ef7e63d1e4 ] Static checkers insist that the mpi_alloc() allocation can fail so add a check to prevent a NULL dereference. Small allocations like this can't actually fail in current kernels, but adding a check is very simple and makes the static checkers happy.
