This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled MIPS: Loongson64: Handle more memory types passed from firmware to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mips-loongson64-handle-more-memory-types-passed-from-firmware.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From c7206e7bd214ebb3ca6fa474a4423662327d9beb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jiaxun Yang <jiaxun.yang@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 7 Nov 2023 11:15:20 +0000 Subject: MIPS: Loongson64: Handle more memory types passed from firmware From: Jiaxun Yang <jiaxun.yang@xxxxxxxxxxx> commit c7206e7bd214ebb3ca6fa474a4423662327d9beb upstream. There are many types of revsered memory passed from firmware that should be reserved in memblock, and UMA memory passed from firmware that should be added to system memory for system to use. Also for memblock there is no need to align those space into page, which actually cause problems. Handle them properly to prevent memory corruption on some systems.
