This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled serial: meson: Use platform_get_irq() to get the interrupt to the 4.19-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: serial-meson-use-platform_get_irq-to-get-the-interru.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.19 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 8c74e96d3137e55f16598271370a3ec8dda10125 Author: Lad Prabhakar <prabhakar.mahadev-lad.rj@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Dec 24 14:29:10 2021 +0000 serial: meson: Use platform_get_irq() to get the interrupt [ Upstream commit 5b68061983471470d4109bac776145245f06bc09 ] platform_get_resource(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ, ..) relies on static allocation of IRQ resources in DT core code, this causes an issue when using hierarchical interrupt domains using "interrupts" property in the node as this bypasses the hierarchical setup and messes up the irq chaining. In preparation for removal of static setup of IRQ resource from DT core code use platform_get_irq().
