This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled netfilter: nf_tables: remove catchall element in GC sync path to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: netfilter-nf_tables-remove-catchall-element-in-gc-sy.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 9b9d9d6dadd4c216fbdc1aa18fe06886ba2e26ae Author: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Nov 21 13:14:21 2023 +0100 netfilter: nf_tables: remove catchall element in GC sync path [ Upstream commit 93995bf4af2c5a99e2a87f0cd5ce547d31eb7630 ] The expired catchall element is not deactivated and removed from GC sync path. This path holds mutex so just call nft_setelem_data_deactivate() and nft_setelem_catchall_remove() before queueing the GC work.
