This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled hid: cp2112: Fix duplicate workqueue initialization to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: hid-cp2112-fix-duplicate-workqueue-initialization.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit de9f97b2e2f67cccc8e942bfc7652a4206f8a2fd Author: Danny Kaehn <danny.kaehn@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Sep 19 16:22:45 2023 -0500 hid: cp2112: Fix duplicate workqueue initialization [ Upstream commit e3c2d2d144c082dd71596953193adf9891491f42 ] Previously the cp2112 driver called INIT_DELAYED_WORK within cp2112_gpio_irq_startup, resulting in duplicate initilizations of the workqueue on subsequent IRQ startups following an initial request. This resulted in a warning in set_work_data in workqueue.c, as well as a rare NULL dereference within process_one_work in workqueue.c. Initialize the workqueue within _probe instead.
