This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled clk: qcom: clk-rcg2: Fix clock rate overflow for high parent frequencies to the 6.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: clk-qcom-clk-rcg2-fix-clock-rate-overflow-for-high-p.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 4d7ce833c1ff8a548a7e767ea096781dd6b8dbc7 Author: Devi Priya <quic_devipriy@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Sep 1 13:06:40 2023 +0530 clk: qcom: clk-rcg2: Fix clock rate overflow for high parent frequencies [ Upstream commit f7b7d30158cff246667273bd2a62fc93ee0725d2 ] If the parent clock rate is greater than unsigned long max/2 then integer overflow happens when calculating the clock rate on 32-bit systems. As RCG2 uses half integer dividers, the clock rate is first being multiplied by 2 which will overflow the unsigned long max value. Hence, replace the common pattern of doing 64-bit multiplication and then a do_div() call with simpler mult_frac call.
