This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled intel_idle: add Emerald Rapids Xeon support to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: intel_idle-add-emerald-rapids-xeon-support.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 9988912f1984ebdcd99fd84d5698646676997cd8 Author: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Jan 20 11:15:28 2023 +0200 intel_idle: add Emerald Rapids Xeon support [ Upstream commit 74528edfbc664f9d2c927c4e5a44f1285598ed0f ] Emerald Rapids (EMR) is the next Intel Xeon processor after Sapphire Rapids (SPR). EMR C-states are the same as SPR C-states, and we expect that EMR C-state characteristics (latency and target residency) will be the same as in SPR. Therefore, add EMR support by using SPR C-states table. Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Signed-off-by: Rafael J.
