This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled gpio: sim: dispose of irq mappings before destroying the irq_sim domain to the 6.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: gpio-sim-dispose-of-irq-mappings-before-destroying-t.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 742203e67d80497755949faa2af4067c6b35f709 Author: Bartosz Golaszewski <bartosz.golaszewski@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Aug 22 21:29:42 2023 +0200 gpio: sim: dispose of irq mappings before destroying the irq_sim domain [ Upstream commit ab4109f91b328ff5cb5e1279f64d443241add2d1 ] If a GPIO simulator device is unbound with interrupts still requested, we will hit a use-after-free issue in __irq_domain_deactivate_irq(). The owner of the irq domain must dispose of all mappings before destroying the domain object.
