This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled sh: Avoid using IRQ0 on SH3 and SH4 to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: sh-avoid-using-irq0-on-sh3-and-sh4.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 942e6a9b8a7e10d690c9f0f52581b7e3f05e1722 Author: Sergey Shtylyov <s.shtylyov@xxxxxx> Date: Thu Jun 1 23:22:17 2023 +0300 sh: Avoid using IRQ0 on SH3 and SH4 [ Upstream commit a8ac2961148e8c720dc760f2e06627cd5c55a154 ] IRQ0 is no longer returned by platform_get_irq() and its ilk -- they now return -EINVAL instead. However, the kernel code supporting SH3/4-based SoCs still maps the IRQ #s starting at 0 -- modify that code to start the IRQ #s from 16 instead. The patch should mostly affect the AP-SH4A-3A/AP-SH4AD-0A boards as they indeed are using IRQ0 for the SMSC911x compatible Ethernet chip.
