This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled perf stat: Reset aggr stats for each run to the 6.3-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: perf-stat-reset-aggr-stats-for-each-run.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.3 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit bb5ebf5dc2e433b5311fec320a667393373a8505 Author: Namhyung Kim <namhyung@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Jun 16 00:32:10 2023 -0700 perf stat: Reset aggr stats for each run [ Upstream commit ed4090a22c123b9b33368741253edddc6ff8d18f ] When it runs multiple times with -r option, it missed to reset the aggregation counters and the values were added up. The aggregation count has the values to be printed in the end. It should reset the counters at the beginning of each run. But the current code does that only when -I/--interval-print option is given.
