This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled netfilter: nf_tables: add NFT_TRANS_PREPARE_ERROR to deal with bound set/chain to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: netfilter-nf_tables-add-nft_trans_prepare_error-to-d.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 5197b5e0845db7a9aced4e57eba704d762a1bc49 Author: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Jun 16 14:45:26 2023 +0200 netfilter: nf_tables: add NFT_TRANS_PREPARE_ERROR to deal with bound set/chain [ Upstream commit 26b5a5712eb85e253724e56a54c17f8519bd8e4e ] Add a new state to deal with rule expressions deactivation from the newrule error path, otherwise the anonymous set remains in the list in inactive state for the next generation. Mark the set/chain transaction as unbound so the abort path releases this object, set it as inactive in the next generation so it is not reachable anymore from this transaction and reference counter is dropped.
