This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled afs: Fix vlserver probe RTT handling to the 6.3-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: afs-fix-vlserver-probe-rtt-handling.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.3 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit bb5f85f56eb0ef94f3eb133fd11856b5406c1356 Author: David Howells <dhowells@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Jun 16 22:39:39 2023 +0100 afs: Fix vlserver probe RTT handling [ Upstream commit ba00b190670809c1a89326d80de96d714f6004f2 ] In the same spirit as commit ca57f02295f1 ("afs: Fix fileserver probe RTT handling"), don't rule out using a vlserver just because there haven't been enough packets yet to calculate a real rtt. Always set the server's probe rtt from the estimate provided by rxrpc_kernel_get_srtt, which is capped at 1 second. This could lead to EDESTADDRREQ errors when accessing a cell for the first time, even though the vl servers are known and have responded to a probe.
