This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled tpm, tpm_tis: Only handle supported interrupts to the 6.3-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: tpm-tpm_tis-only-handle-supported-interrupts.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.3 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit f8b479fb55f95efdfc06f09f858b22bf7bc9980f Author: Lino Sanfilippo <l.sanfilippo@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Nov 24 14:55:30 2022 +0100 tpm, tpm_tis: Only handle supported interrupts [ Upstream commit e87fcf0dc2b47fac5b4824f00f74dfbcd4acd363 ] According to the TPM Interface Specification (TIS) support for "stsValid" and "commandReady" interrupts is only optional. This has to be taken into account when handling the interrupts in functions like wait_for_tpm_stat(). To determine the supported interrupts use the capability query. Also adjust wait_for_tpm_stat() to only wait for interrupt reported status changes. After that process all the remaining status changes by polling the status register.
