This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled media: v4l: async: Return async sub-devices to subnotifier list to the 6.1-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: media-v4l-async-return-async-sub-devices-to-subnotif.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.1 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit d410654efd47a1e5c264bf5b94121fbb9919a2d7 Author: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue Mar 7 15:49:44 2023 +0200 media: v4l: async: Return async sub-devices to subnotifier list [ Upstream commit 5276c9df9c2ab9a43b534bfb56bdb10899cd3a22 ] When an async notifier is unregistered, the async sub-devices in the notifier's done list will disappear with the notifier. However this is currently also done to the sub-notifiers that remain registered. Their sub-devices only need to be unbound while the async sub-devices themselves need to be returned to the sub-notifier's waiting list. Do this now.
