This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled scsi: iscsi_tcp: Check that sock is valid before iscsi_set_param() to the 5.15-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: scsi-iscsi_tcp-check-that-sock-is-valid-before-iscsi.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.15 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit a0cee310c846df2888cf48c34943f44fb27fbde2 Author: Zhong Jinghua <zhongjinghua@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Mar 29 15:17:39 2023 +0800 scsi: iscsi_tcp: Check that sock is valid before iscsi_set_param() [ Upstream commit 48b19b79cfa37b1e50da3b5a8af529f994c08901 ] The validity of sock should be checked before assignment to avoid incorrect values. Commit 57569c37f0ad ("scsi: iscsi: iscsi_tcp: Fix null-ptr-deref while calling getpeername()") introduced this change which may lead to inconsistent values of tcp_sw_conn->sendpage and conn->datadgst_en. Fix the issue by moving the position of the assignment.
