This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled clk: HI655X: select REGMAP instead of depending on it to the 6.2-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: clk-hi655x-select-regmap-instead-of-depending-on-it.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.2 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 103d883d0e3cb0da05d191e20763f1308edfe844 Author: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat Feb 25 21:39:47 2023 -0800 clk: HI655X: select REGMAP instead of depending on it [ Upstream commit 0ffad67784a097beccf34d297ddd1b0773b3b8a3 ] REGMAP is a hidden (not user visible) symbol. Users cannot set it directly thru "make *config", so drivers should select it instead of depending on it if they need it. Consistently using "select" or "depends on" can also help reduce Kconfig circular dependency issues. Therefore, change the use of "depends on REGMAP" to "select REGMAP".
