This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled trace/blktrace: fix memory leak with using debugfs_lookup() to the 6.2-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: trace-blktrace-fix-memory-leak-with-using-debugfs_lo.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.2 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 75ae500182d785019b00f4f6744e760f14a962f4 Author: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Feb 2 15:19:56 2023 +0100 trace/blktrace: fix memory leak with using debugfs_lookup() [ Upstream commit 83e8864fee26f63a7435e941b7c36a20fd6fe93e ] When calling debugfs_lookup() the result must have dput() called on it, otherwise the memory will leak over time. To make things simpler, just call debugfs_lookup_and_remove() instead which handles all of the logic at once.
