This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    x86/nospec: Fix i386 RSB stuffing

to the 4.14-stable tree which can be found at:
    http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary

The filename of the patch is:
     x86-nospec-fix-i386-rsb-stuffing.patch
and it can be found in the queue-4.14 subdirectory.

Turns out that i386 doesn't unconditionally have LFENCE, as such the
loop in __FILL_RETURN_BUFFER isn't actually speculation safe on such
chips.
