This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled aquantia: Do not purge addresses when setting the number of rings to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: aquantia-do-not-purge-addresses-when-setting-the-num.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 069134b6fef1ea66a70c7a931ac99ed9614628df Author: Izabela Bakollari <ibakolla@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Nov 23 11:10:08 2022 +0100 aquantia: Do not purge addresses when setting the number of rings [ Upstream commit 2a83891130512dafb321418a8e7c9c09268d8c59 ] IPV6 addresses are purged when setting the number of rx/tx rings using ethtool -G. The function aq_set_ringparam calls dev_close, which removes the addresses. As a solution, call an internal function (aq_ndev_close).
