This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled crypto: x86/polyval - Fix crashes when keys are not 16-byte aligned to the 6.0-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: crypto-x86-polyval-fix-crashes-when-keys-are-not-16-byte-aligned.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.0 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 9f6035af06b526e678808d492fc0830aef6cfbd8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nathan Huckleberry <nhuck@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 18 Oct 2022 16:04:12 -0700 Subject: crypto: x86/polyval - Fix crashes when keys are not 16-byte aligned From: Nathan Huckleberry <nhuck@xxxxxxxxxx> commit 9f6035af06b526e678808d492fc0830aef6cfbd8 upstream. crypto_tfm::__crt_ctx is not guaranteed to be 16-byte aligned on x86-64. This causes crashes due to movaps instructions in clmul_polyval_update. Add logic to align polyval_tfm_ctx to 16 bytes.
