This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ASoC: tas2764: Drop conflicting set_bias_level power setting to the 5.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: asoc-tas2764-drop-conflicting-set_bias_level-power-s.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 88a87e75db2322a342d3e3974baf6aeb303ecdd0 Author: Martin Povišer <povik+lin@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu Aug 25 16:02:38 2022 +0200 ASoC: tas2764: Drop conflicting set_bias_level power setting [ Upstream commit 09273f38832406db19a8907a934687cc10660a6b ] The driver is setting the PWR_CTRL field in both the set_bias_level callback and on DAPM events of the DAC widget (and also in the mute_stream method). Drop the set_bias_level callback altogether as the power setting it does is in conflict with the other code paths. (This mirrors commit c8a6ae3fe1c8 ("ASoC: tas2770: Drop conflicting set_bias_level power setting") which was a fix to the tas2770 driver.)
